TRNS means they transfer. TA is a tranfser A. TB is a transer B and so on. If the courses you take can transfer over as an elective then they will let you do that. However, they must be equivalent to an elective at TAMU. So let’s say for example you took some random history class at your current college that doesn’t transfer as a class to TAMU. It would transfer and you would have the hours, but they wouldn’t apply as any electives or to a degree plan.

anyone taking business calc? math 142? business math 2 (all the same thing haha). I hate that class… taking it right now.

took 1325 (142) during the spring. loved it, but then again i love all math. I guess going into econ that’s not a bad thing lol.

math is my favorite subject too, im taking math 141 and math 142 right now ( I have the pre reqs for 141 from college algebra and pre-cal, just taking it for a&m) so I have tonnss of homework… math 141 is incredibly easy. Math 142 is okay, but I made a 78 on the first test cause I didn’t study… now exam 2 is next friday and will have tons of material so hopefully I can pull out a B in the class so it will look better if I ever decided to change majors at tamu.

So just TRNS has the possibility of not transfering towards the degree plan? I have lots of TA and TB’s.

I am trying to transfer to Communications with a 3.4 and 45 hours. I had a letter of rec, i think a good resume, and i think a good essay that is on topic but might be considered not? IDK. Y’all think i’ll get in?

@JStalk12 , i’d say, welcome to aggieland!

@itscole Thanks! Now i gotta figure out how the heck I can go to TAMU. I thought I was going to go to UT so i live in Austin and have my lease until July.

Mtreys thank you for clarifying it. To be honest I am disappointed that a lot of my classes might not be considered, but thanks again.

The guys at Petroleum Engineering just made it clear to me that I would have to wait till end of October, even possibly November to know if I am accepted or not. Not cool. bot cool! They want everyone to submit applications before they do anything… which is after the deadline

TRNS on some of the classes also means that you are still in the process of taking them. So if you’re taking a heavy class load this semester, there might be a few that have TRNS so far. Once you finish this semester you will send your final transcript from the college you are at now and your transfer audit report will be adjusted.

Is anyone buying a sports pass for the spring, are we able to?

I haven’t gotten my decision, but got an email about joining the core. Thoughts?

I just submitted my application via applytexas and received an email saying it will be sent within the next two days… *** I assumed it was an electronic submission that happens instantly. Am I considered past the deadline now?

JStalk12 - That is pretty typical. After applying you will get emails/letters about Corp and other stuff on campus.

CheapSunglasses - I think if you apply by the end of the day then you are considered in the deadline. I’m not sure though, because it does take a day or two for TAMU to get it, but I think you should be okay.

itscole - If I remember correctly we would be able to buy sports passes, but somewhere I read that they were all sold out this year. It’s a tricky process with the sports passes because they only are able to offer so many of them to students, so not ALL students are guaranteed a sports pass. I think that that sucks but ehh it is what it is. So if my information is correct, we would have to wait to buy a sports pass for the 2014-15 year. I think that actually happens during this spring so we should be okay.

Cheapsunglasses you just submitted your applicaTION today? I’m sorry, but i think that all your documents must be received before the closing date (today)

I submitted all my transcripts last week and finished my applytexas online application today

mtreys- the spring sports pass (basketball and baseball) are still available

Hello guys, one question

I applied for the spring semester 2014 as a freshman review candidate (1280 SAT, top 25%) almost automatic, when do they start releasing the decisions?

AndresC - they began releasing admissions late August. It depends on how early you applied in the process. Since you are a freshman applying it should be quicker for you to hear, I’d think.
