Texas A&m Spring 2014 Update Thread

I had a problem with the high school diploma and the whole application got processed the 19th of august , they told me there was no problem since I sent the other documents before the deadline , could this be the reason for not having received a decision yet?

Just got my admissions decision accepted for Mech Eng.!!!
Proud aggie see you guys in January!!

Andre, Congrats!

Still haven’t gotten an email from A&M with a NetID or anything. How long did it take after you submitted your application? I did mine Tuesday but already had all my transcripts sent in the week before.

@CheapSunglasses, how about you just call and ask admissions tomorrow afternoon if you don’t receive one, they will be more than happy to help you

Ohhh I want to know their decision. They received my documents on mid September, but one was wrong, and I had to resend it. They processed everything just in October 7, which means that I will have to wait longer than many of you.

Hi Guys,
Does anyone know when the graduate admission decisions is announced?

Andresc what were your stats?

I was accepted about a 2 weeks ago to biomedical engineering! OOS

Does anyone know when they’ll tell us where we will stay for housing during the spring semester?

@Rall

I am an Intl. Student, 1280 SAT (670 math - 610 cr), 3.7 gpa

I just got my admission; now i wonder, when will we hear responses from financial aid.
Any possible idea???

Congratulations, what were your stats? I saw in one of your previous posts that you applied to genetics in ag dept, just wondering cause I still haven’t heard anything(they had everything processed on 9/11) and I applied into the ag dept

They recalculated my GPA to 3.7. I did not take any SAT test, so that is all I have to say about my stats lol.
However, There is a kind of automatic admission for transfers if you complete some require courses before transferring. I believe I was admitted under that criteria because I have all the courses.
Here is a link about that kind of admission [Program for Transfer Admission PTA - Office of Admissions | Texas A&M University](http://admissions.tamu.edu/pta/)
Godd luck

For those who have been accepted, how do you find out? What is AIS supposed to do if you are accepted? I’ve been waiting for a response for over a week now, and I would like to know the signs to look for!

AIS will show a step 5 that asks you to respond to admissions decision. when you do this have a credit card or something ready because you have to pay for your spot at the NSC.

Idson123 - I haven’t heard anything back regarding Fin Aid. I was wondering the same thing. On the financial portal it says they have my FAFSA and I’m in good standing but I sent the other documents 2 weeks ago. Nothing has been changed and I don’t want it to get too late and the status not change.

i emailed the financial aid office yesterday. And they told me that they release financial aid decisions since Dec 1 and scholarships information in February or March. I can’t wait for that. I can’t pay the 100 dollars of NCS until I know I will be able to receive financial aid to pay for school. I want to accept my admission, but I won’t do it until i receive an answer =S

Idson123 - Did they say it was only scholarship information or did that include student loans?

Well, federal loans are part of financial aid. so I’m guessing that in dec 1 when they release info about financial aid, that will include student loans decision as well.
About scholarships, they say Feb or March
