<p>I currently have a 3.44 gpa at a community college, Grossmont College, in San Diego, CA. I am hoping to transfer as an Animal Science or Zoology major. I have taken 25 units and am currently enrolled in 21 (Chem 120, Phyc 130, Span 220, Math 180, and CD 125). My high school GPA was a weighted 3.57 (not very good but still good enough to graduate with honors in top 20%, I had a downward trend in high school as a result of getting my first job at 16 and managing my time unwisely). However, I have pretty good grades in college despite a trigonometry class I got a D in but re-took and achieved an A. The D grade does not affect my GPA. I have volunteered at a hospital for 3 months in the past, as well as a wildlife conservation center for another 3 months and worked at McDonalds for 9 months, SeaWorld for 6 months, and for Best Buy for about a year and a half and still presently working there. My SAT score was a 1980, I don't recall the numbers for CR or Writing but my math score was 750. Pretty sure critical reading was the lowest of the three. </p>
<p>My boyfriend of 3 years and I are moving to the Corpus Christi area because of him being in the Navy and getting stationed there and I'm really hoping for some luck on my application.. Any chances or am I hopeless? If I am not accepted to TAMU I am hoping to be accepted to TAMU-Kingsville or TAMU-Corpus Christi and if not those two then Del Mar Community College here I come! </p>
