Texas A&M Transfer Student - College of Liberal Arts

Howdy! I just wanted to get anyone’s opinion on the average GPA it takes to transfer to A&M college of liberal arts. I am currently entering my sophomore year at Blinn and want to transfer to A&M Fall of 2016, possibly summer of 2016. By the time I submit my application to A&M I will have 52 Credits and my GPA will be a 3.53. This doesn’t include the spring semester final grades. (If considering Spring final grades my gpa would probably be a 3.62 with 73 credit hours).

I have been planning to attend A&M from the very beginning of my college career so all my classes are in correspondence to the B.S. of Psychology A&M provides. I work full time as a PCT at St. Joseph’s hospital (and have worked full time non-stop since I started college). I must admit I do have 2 W’s, one because I just plain on took too many classes to handle and the second because i was misinformed and the class didn’t correspond with my degree plan. I’ll add I’m also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors society and volunteer a minimum of 5 hours a week for the last couple months (and am going to continue).

So… what do you think my chances are? I know a definite answer isn’t possible but even a guess would help my nerves. Anything I can do to help improve my chances? My GPA is as high as it will go by the time I have to do admission unfortunately, so any other ideas? Average guess on GPA to get into the liberal arts college? If anyone who reads this goes to A&M college station, what do you think of the environment and atmosphere? What about the classes? Any advice helps. Thanks.

If you are enrolled in Blinn Team, you should get automatic admission with 3.2 + GPA. If not , then I would call admission

There are certain classes you must have complete and a good GPA. You should call an admissions counselor at the Aggieland PSC they can help you through the Transfer process. (979) 458-0959. Gig’em!
