Texas A&M

First post on the forums here! I am a freshman Electrical Engineering student. I am very interested into transferring to Texas A&M. I am not from Texas so I would be considered out of state. I have a few questions regarding admission and college choice.

Some info about me:
I have a 3.9 high school GPA, 28 ACT. My college GPA for first semester will be around 3.4-3.7. I am taking Calculus II as a freshman and I do well in math and physics courses.

Questions:
1. What are my chances at A&M? Will they ask for my ACT? I will have 40 credits completed after freshmen year. (I have AP credits).
2. I will be visiting Texas soon, so what do you recommend I do at A&M? Should I just do a tour or is it possible to sit and talk to an admissions advisor?
3. Any thoughts of the University of Texas at Dallas for engineering. By looking at the engineering ranks, A&M is ranked 11 while Dallas is ranked 71. Does UT Dallas have a good electrical engineering program?
4. What are the scholarships like for transfer students.

I would appreciate any other relevant information. Thanks so much!

bump? any advice is appreciated

The out of state add on was not very much more. USNews listed West Texas A&M as one of the 10 top deals for OOS fees. There site is locked up right now but go and look closer. Also, they had a boat load of scholarships listed so look closely to see if you can get a merit award to cover the out of state add on. Good Luck.
