Texas abortion law for OOS students/parents?

I totally agree, which is why SCOTUS should have stayed the law for the time-being.

And that would have happened had RBG retired in time for an appropriate replacement. This legacy was entirely predictable.
In good news, both Uber and Lydt have announced they will pay any fees incurred by drivers in connection with this act. And Go Daddy has forced down a website that was dedicated to “tips”.
This won’t get fixed until gerrymandering is fixed. The majority of Texans support right to choice. The legislature does not.

I don’t personally know anyone that would view this as a negative when considering where their children go to college. Most of the teens I know would not make a college decision based on something like that either, but most of my friends are pro-life, only a handful are not.

I imagine this law would be a plus for some families choosing a college for their daughters.

Right.

What I find utterly disgusting is there are some who are speaking about protecting your children, think it’s totally fine to take the life of another child! It makes no sense! “Protect” your child?!?! Why do you want to protect your child when the other child who has just started it’s life isn’t given the decency of protection? Just abort it?! Take it’s life, get rid it…that’s just fine?!? Have you even thought about how rediculous that is?

What I find utterly disgusting is people who say they are “prolife” but refuse to wear masks or get vaccines to save the lives of, you know, actual living breathing people.

My DS22 just crossed Tulane off his list out of concerns that LA will go the way of TX. He was already hesitant to go someplace where policy makers spend far more time worrying about trans people using bathrooms and a woman’s personal reproductive decisions than trying to stop a raging pandemic or stopping the proliferation of weapons of war on our streets, but that finally sealed the deal.

It’s a human life.

I believe that the OP’s question has been answered with what is known at this time. I let the thread live longer than usual even when the discussion went into what SCOTUS should or should not do, and even when users went on about their own pro-life or pro-choice stance. But now that it has devolved into name calling, we’re done. Closing.
