Top 10 reasons why Texas is THE WORST State!

10.It Ain’t Even California.

In most of Texas, there is one season, hot as hell!

There’s more’n enough mosquitoes for everyone.

Everyone wants to live there so much that it’s god awful crowded.

Texas Men & Women are better looking the closer you get to closing time.

Everything is bigger in Texas, even the problems.

Kei

“If Texas were a country it’s economy would be ranked the twelfth largest in the world by its GDP.”

And ranked 47th in education

Kei

Actually we’re ranked 39th for education :)

Thank God for SC and Miss :)

“else at 20 feet, the Lone Star flies at the same height - 20 feet. Do you know why? Because it is the only state that was a republic before it became a state. Texas was the only state to join the U.S. through treaty, not annexation.”

You’re wrong. Vermont was a republic before it became the 14th State in the Union. See wikipedia on History of Vermont.

Sorry I didn’t actually write that whole thing. Vermont was a republic before it became a state but it is true that we’re the only state who can fly our flag at the same height as the american flag.

That is actually disturbing. It would be awesome if Texas actually could leave the country just so we could own them.

Well anyways this is getting kind of off topic. In the article it was saying Texas is unique in that high school sports aren’t completely extracurricular. Are sports in other states not during the school day?

I feel like I should put in a good word for TX, at least one part of it. I spent six weeks in Austin this summer and it is an amazing and beautiful city. However I have heard that the rest of Texas is not like that. The Texas pride is certainly still present, even though Austin is considered an island in TX (a pat of butter in a sea of grits as my grandma would say). And the Texas Capitol building is amazing, though a lot of the buildings around it are constructed in a 1970s brutalist style and decorated with lone stars, which makes the whole place seem like part of soviet russia with the exception of the Capitol and the monuments. There’s also a giant 300 style pit with Texas at the bottom.

Austin is basically Texas’ version of Myrtle Beach. So much better than the rest of the state it’s not even funny.

Why is everyone hating on Texas? Texas’ economy is not that bad. Our state debt per capita ranks 49th in the country (a good thing) with only 2%. Thats a hell of a lot better than Massachusetts with a 20% state debt.

BTW, we dont have a state income tax.

Yesss! We’re amazing. people just don’t understand. I’m in new hampshire right now and I’m freezing my ass off. Its so cold. Its not supposed to be this cold until like december.
