Texas Common Application: Overseas Student

I was going to fill out all my Texas Common App today, and realized that I have a problem. I don't know whether I'm international.

In all the other applications I've filled, I'm clearly an international student because I am studying in a local (not American) high school in France, despite being American. However, while reading the Texas App site, they clearly indicate that if you are a citizen, you are not international. Nevertheless, since I was international in all the other applications, I clicked on the international application option...and find that I cannot state that I am a US citizen.

So what am I? And if I'm NOT international, how do I indicate that I have been going to an overseas high school, and that therefore my grades aren't on the same scale as everyone else's? If no one has an answer, I will call Texas App, but I would really rather avoid the steep price for calling overseas.

Simple, you are an American going to an overseas high school. You are not the first in this situation. Just make sure that the school sends a “school profile” with the transcript that tells about the school, grading scheme, course requirements, etc. They’ll figure it out.
