Texas Essays.

Hey guys !
I'm confused what UT Austin and Texas A&M mean by the following -

"If you are submitting your essay online, it must be no longer than 120 eighty-character lines of text (including spaces and blank lines)."

That is almost 2000 words ....
all the other essays i've written till now have word limits of 500-650 words.
So do the texas colleges expect us to write more ? or is it ok to write around 600 words even though the limit is around 2000 ?

Thanks for the help !

I was wondering this too. The ApplyTexas thing is really weird, but I don’t believe length is a huge factor in the essays. Just make the essay itself good though.

Yeah shivam, I just copied/paste some of my previous college essays into the application. Their limits are like 600 words. I dunno, I personally think that the only reason that they did that was to not let the applicants limit themselves on how much to write.

Yeah man the ApplyTexas thing is weird …
I don’t think i can write an essay of more than 650 words on those topics without it being repetitive …

As long as they don’t expect us to write 1000+ words, its cool …
