It's kinda strange that both of these teams played Michigan in the last 2 rose bowls, and Michigan ends up having a bad season.</p>

<p>Wow, I was driving around the Washington D.C. suburbs today and, because of the USC bumper sticker on my car, I got several honks. Some gave me the victory sign, while others gave me the longhorn symbol.</p>
<p>Can't wait for the game now. I hope it's as exciting as last night's Orange Bowl!</p>

<p>I said this on the Texas forum, but I didn't know Vince Young was that good... wow.. congrats to him and Texas!</p>
<p>Texas was all over us, and I'm disappointed we lost. Vince Young was really good. I hated how his receivers were always open and he always had room to run. But there's nothing I hate more than Texas fans rubbing it in. Be like Coach Brown and be a good sport. Like I said in the Texas forum, this was a good game.</p>

<p>The reason why they won was because of the refs. They gave the horns a free touchdown when they didnt review that one play where Young pitched the ball to the RB from his knees, and the RB scored. Also, young threw a pass to a guy for like a 10 yard gain, then a USC linebacker punched the ball out, it was clearly a fumble, but the refs didnt call it......very bad refs.....very biased.</p>
<p>well, we didn't get DESTROYED. it was just 3 points. it should not have even been this way, had usc contested vince young's KNEE in the 2nd quarter...</p>

<p>They would have made the TD whether the refs made the right call or not. They were pushing yards easily during that drive.</p>
<p>USC's coordinator never caught on to the fact that Vince Young goes right with his runs every play. Unless it's designed to go left (like an option), he will go right with it. The players never realized this. All his jukes were to the right. He always carried the ball in his right hand. </p>
<p>If USC would have caught on, they would have been able to stop Vince. </p>
<p>And why wasn't the USC offensive coordinator smart enough to put the ball in Reggie Bush's hands more in the first half? I can understand losing some faith in him after that lateral, but come on. Lendale gets 20 touches, Matt gets 40 throws, and all Reggie gets is 19 touches (13 rush, 6 receiving)? You need to get the best player in the country more involved. </p>
<p>Actually, it wasn't USC's offense that lost the game. But still, they could have won it with better coaching. </p>
<p>Why did Carroll go for the first down, rather than kick that field goal, in the first half? I know he wanted a time out, but don't let Matt make the decision. You know he is going to want to be heroic.</p>
<p>I think USC's coaching staff lost the game, moreso than Vince Young won it. He can be stopped, if people actually had brains.</p>
