Quick question- Are all the scholarship (merit/need-based) at UT Austin for instate residents?

I was filling out the scholarship application on applytexas and all the merit scholarship listed were for residents only. If I am OOS applying to UT Austin, should i not bother filling out the scholarship section in applytexas?

Thanks for the help.

My OOS son got a small engineering scholarship, and I remember reading of other OOS students who got more money. It’s worth a shot!

Thanks for the info!

Another question!

Can i submit the apply texas application without the essays? Meaning i would submit the essays at a later date?

^Yes. That’s how you can get your honors app, for example, done before the deadline if you’re applying now. The scholarship app can also be done separately.

I tried submitting without my essays but it says that they are required?

Go to the essays page and click the button at the bottom that says “I acknowledge this part of the application must be done” or something. You can upload and submit them later when you finish writing them by going to the “My Essays” section.
