Hope I can get into UT...

In at all. I know that McCombs is hard to beat in reputation and price, but you should give yourself some more credit, and apply to schools like Wharton, Stern, Sloan, etc.

Don’t worry about getting into UT, they love you TAMS kids. It represents a huge commitment, even if you didn’t excel there. Your SAT score and other credentials are too good for them to pass up.

I know you’re probably worried about it because of that dumb top 10% rule, but don’t be.

Check out Rice, too. I’m sure everyone you know at school is. Don’t count yourself out!

With a 3.3, TuOwls??! Are you serious? That’s like straight Bs, and you’re telling him to apply to Wharton, the best business school in the country… yikes

but I still think you’ll be good everywhere in Texas except UT. If you’re not top 10%, it is super competitive.

This is a TAMS kid, he IS the competition!

oh snap, didn’t notice the TAMS part. I sort of skimmed it lol

Yeah, even with a 3.3, a TAMS kid has no less of a shot at Wharton.

Haha, I love how TAMS automatically makes him different. I would’ve gone there if I didn’t want to major in English and Social Sciences.

UT-Austin and A & M is a good business school but UT is the better school..

UT-Austin= 13th best business school
A & M= 31st best business school

You have a shot to get into UT.. don’t worry, man.

I’m sorry, I feel like such a noob, but what is TAMS and why does it put him at such a big advantage?

^This is TAMS. Hopefully it is the advantage everyone is saying it is.

TAMS is well distinguished in TX so youll get in all those schools
