<p>Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not Texas Tech required any essays to apply. I though they did, but when I looked on their website this evening I couldn't find where it said how many or if they even needed any essays. I just wanted to find out before I submitted my application thinking I'd done everything I needed to. Thanks in advance!</p>

<p>Aren’t all those optional though? In most cases, I’d be okay with writing an essay, but I’m so strapped for time because of high school that I’m struggling to set time aside to write one.</p>
<p>If your academic performance is outstanding and extracurricular activities are extensive, then essay is probably not needed. Otherwise a good essay will make a difference.</p>
