Does anyone know how it works when a student has a Texas Tomorrow plan for 4 years of Tuition and they also get Grants and (small - not full) scholarships? How is each applied?
My son is a senior at Texas A&M. His Texas Tomorrow Fund (now called the Texas Guaranteed Tuition Plan) is applied to his account first and goes towards tuition and the limited fees the plan covers. His Corps’ scholarship is then applied towards the remaining balance (other fees, parking permits, living expenses). Any balance at that point results in a refund.

FYI the scholarship and grant will be considered taxable income to your son. So will the refund check . Keep good records and itemized tuition and fees bills.
