I just looked into my financial aid portal, and they have just awarded us with top 10 scholarships! YAY! anyway, what does the $2000 cover? im assuming tuition, fees, etc. but does it include dorms if you're staying on campus?

If you go to the “My Finances” tab, on the left side you should see an option that says “Pay my Tuition/Manage Account”

Eventually (if there isn’t one now, it’ll appear toward the end of summer,) you will see an itemized list of things that make up your cost of attendance at A&M. All of these items will be lumped together so that when you do pay your tuition, it pays everything altogether.

$2000 will cover various fees and whatnot, but if you’re staying on campus, it could pay for all or a portion of your dorm, depending on which dorm you get and how much it costs. Basically, there isn’t much of a way to pick what you’re paying for when you pay the cost of attendance, but that amount could cover a dorm by itself, yes.

okay thanks. ive already gotten enough scholarships and what not, but most of them do not cover dorm. so this is much better!

Scholarships that don’t cover a dorm? Are they outside scholarships? Any financial aid awards or scholarships you get that are viewable in your Financial Aid portal, can go directly to your list (again when it shows up haha) of expenses; tuition, dorm costs, meal plans, Rec center fee, etc
