Wondering if I'm likely to get more money just selling my books to other people, or selling it back to the UCLA Store... anyone have previous experience?

Also, if I hold on to my books for my GE Cluster (History of Modern Thought), would I get more for it later (since the textbook store goes by quarter, and that 21A isn't offered next quarter)?

Well, I don’t know if you’ve decided yet but you’ll almost always get more money selling books to other people instead of the UCLA store. Usually I try to sell my books: first to other people, then check amazon buy-back/online places, then textbook plus or the UCLA store.

It’s risky to hold on to the books for more than one quarter just in case the textbooks permanently change and then you’re really out of luck. But it’s up to you.
