I've accidentally caused moderate damage to a textbook due to spilling drinks on the bottom half. The book was originally new and the covers are bent. The book binding is fine. None of the book's pages are torn and apart from the dried waterlogged appearance (water marks on the bottom of every single page though), everything is fine and readable.

Does anyone have an idea of how much I should expect to pay for the damages?
I've tried looking online for how much schools take off for each specific damage, so if anyone has that form handy, that would be useful too.

I'm thinking of just buying a new book through amazon, since the list price is around $120 and amazon sells these books for $28 new. (The book's 9th edition is out and this is only the 6th edition)
