Textbook ordering

So when I first went to put in an order for textbooks at the BU Barnes n Noble site, I selected that I wanted them to change my order to update it with the required books. But now there are more books and stuff up, but my order hasn’t changed. Should I go ahead and place another order for the other books? Or should I wait? I’m worried because I don’t want to order these other books and then be charged AGAIN for them if they do decide to update my order.
Can anyone help clarify how this whole thing works?

If they give you the same books, you can just return them for a full refund. But since you have your order number, just call the bookstore to sort this out.

For anyone else who reads this thread and HAS NOT bought books, you really outta try Amazon, other trusty used textbook sites, & current students first (check for the facebook group). It can save you lots of money. Sometimes you do need to go to B&N… but more often than not, you can get away with it somewhere else.

Just make sure the edition year or ISBN if you have it is correct. Although, sometimes that doesn’t make a big difference. You can always email the prof if you have a chance to get a slightly earlier edition cheap. They’ll usually be able to tell you how major the differences are and if it’s okay.

Just a tip!

Amazon is awesome. If it’s a textbook you’ll definitely want the right edition but if it’s like a novel or something then it really doesn’t matter.
