I am taking Calc II this summer and need to buy a college textbook. Now I finally realize how expensive they are. I have a few questions for all you UMich students:

When do we buy textbooks (before or after classes begin)? If after, how can we make sure they get here on time?

Where do we buy textbooks (online or UMich bookstore)? If online, what Web sites do you recommend?

Should I buy new or used? If I buy a new book, can I expect to get more money when I sell it used?

Where do we sell our books for most money?

it's generally better to buy your textbooks before your class begins.

you can buy your textbooks at the UM bookstore or online, but it'll definitely be cheaper online. i recommend you use amazon.com and half.com to buy your textbooks, but you'll need to get the isbn number of the textbook to search for it.

buy used. new books are usually overpriced. when you sell it back, it'll be obviously be used, so it won't matter.

sell your books by using half.com. it's extremely easy!

I need this book for Calc II, ISBN is 0618310495. I looked at a lot of sites, they either don't have it or sell it for similar prices. The best price I can find is $120 used at the school bookstore. I heard that there is international/pirated versions of textbooks, they sell for a lot cheaper. No clue where to find them though.
