got some letter from nyu about some textbook program. i love how its sooo personalized, "dear class of 2011" to a '10 transfer student -_-

anyways
textbook shipping program - good? bad?

(out of state...not sure if its a good idea)

i was wondering the same

Yeah what the hell is that? I was planning to buy textbooks online for cheap. But anyway uh how do we even know which books to buy, since we haven't even registered yet?

i signed up for classes already, but im a transfer, might be diff for freshmen?

I want to wait and see if my son comes home with a list of books to buy after Freshman orientation. He's going the first session (next Wed-Fri). If I think there is remote chance I could get the books at a good price, I will do it. And then I'm going to look online and see what a new book costs.

I'm not sending a blank form saying "charge me" until I get more info.

I wonder if Tisch students need a lot of books...any thoughts?

I'm in Drama, btws.

Well freshmen register for classes at orientation. And uh I'll be buying all my books off of amazon marketplace or half.com, thanks.

The thing that sucks though is that the books are shipped to your house, so you have to go through the trouble of bringing them back to NYC. At least, I live in Chicago so that's like a huge issue. I wish they would just be available to be picked up at the bookstore or something. : [

I heard from a neighbor that the lines at the bookstore orientation week were really, really long.
