Textbooks for The Upcoming Semester

I am a biology major taking a botany and organic chemistry class. I am looking into getting the text books and they are really expensive (the organic textbook is $200). I know international textbooks are usually the same except they are paperback and cheap printing, but I was wondering if anyone has first hand experience with international textbooks for the following textbooks:
ISBN: 9780321768414 Organic Chemistry (8th Edition) by Leroy G. Wade
ISBN: 9780132413756 Multiscale Operational Organic Chemistry (2nd Edition) by Lehman
ISBN: 9780073524221 Plants and Society (6th Edition) by Estelle Levetin, Karen Mcmahon

Since these are related to my major I want be 100% positive they are the same as the US Editions before I buy them.

Well I dont have advice on international text books, but books in general.

I would say in some classes wait to see ifyou actually need the book in the first place. sometimes you dont, but I know a lot of itme ofr sciences (and many classes in general) you do.

Some ways to save. buy as many books online or from students taking the class before you. i buy as very little as possible from the book store. also you might want to try sharing the cost with someone if you know someone else in the class

Also you might be able to get by with an older edition. usually very ismillari nfo and cost goes down.
