Textbooks list for AP

Since we have now listed the aid books for AP subjects, I think it reasonable to post some textbooks for AP for AP self-studyers?
Please inform good or bad the book is?
Thanks!

Please be specific, including the authors' names and edition

APEURO - History of Western Society
APUSH - American Pageant AP Edition
APCAL - Thomas' Calc 11th
AP Spanish - Una Vez Mas
AP Phys B - Physics 3rd, Walker
AP Phys C - University Physics or Fundamentals of Physics, Walker
AP Computer - Java Methods A & AB
AP Lit - Everything that is hard to read
AP Bio - Biology (lots of editions), Campbell
AP Art History - Garner or Art Across Time, use REA book before the test.

US History: America Past & Present, AP Edition (Didn't like this text, it was "AP Lite" and has obvious biases)

AP Euro: A History of the Modern World (9th Edition, school just purchased 10th) - Amazing text. I loved it.

AP Chemistry: Chemistry, Zumdahl (Not sure which edition, black cover) - Good homework problems but I don't know much about it since my chem teacher didn't really teach from the book.

AP Biology: Biology, by Campbell/Reece/Mitchell (my school uses the 5th edition, not much diff. btwn editions)

AP US Gov't: The Challenge of Democracy (pretty good book for an easy AP)

AP Calculus: Calculus of a Single Variable by Larson, 6th Edition (I like this text, especially since my pre-calc/trig text was also by Larson)

AP Literature & Composition: pretty much any and everything. In-depth reading/analysis of diverse, difficult novels/plays/poetry.

AP Language & Composition: Read various books/speeches/articles/short stories. There isn't a required reading list.

AP Spanish: AP Spanish workbook by Prentice Hall, Abriendo Paso Gramatica by Jose Diaz, Tesoro Literario by Glencoe

Euro: Western Civilization - Hause, Maltby
Chem: Chem for Adv High School Students- Zumdahl or Chem -
Calc AB/BC: Stewart
Eng Lit/Comp: Bedford Reader, Norton Anthology of Eng Lit, and a TON of classics (refer to list below)
Eng Lang/Comp: Bedford Reader, The Joy of Vocabulary and 5-6 solid classics novels (I'm currently reading austen, tolstoy, poe, stevenson, and shakespeare)
Biology (see note below): use any text... EXCEPT campbell (I know what you're thinking... oh, well, the USABO uses it, why shouldn't we? BECAUSE I PRACTICALLY FAILED HONORS BIO LAST YEAR WITH IT and it's disgustingly dry)

Okay- nobody should be self studying AP Biology. That is not only too much work, but it's almost impossible to get above a 4 without proper instruction. Same goes for Physics C. You can get away with a 5 self studied with Physics B but Physics C is one of the hardest to get a 5 AND a good percentile (to qualify for awards, haha)

ap art history is pretty hard actually... you have to have a photographic memory to pull it off.
better to stick with ap econ, ap environmental and ap psych

I'm just rockin' wikipedia for psych and econ
for environmental, read the silent spring by rachel carson (fun to read plus its informative) then get living in the environment by miller (bit boring, but it does the job)

AP Bio - cambell, raven, or brooker(best out of three - Brooker-amazing pictures, also the most expensive since only 1 edition is out; second best-campbell-i have 6th ed)
APUSH - American Pageant
AP Calc - Thomas/Salas (like Thomas better)
AP Chem - Zumdahl
AP Phys C - University Phys (reese), Fund. of Phys(Halliday,resnick,walker)... toss up between the two
AP Comp Sci - Objects, Abstraction, Data Structures, and Design using Java

Any edition works for all of these books.. though dont go more than two editions previous to the latest edition that is out

Wow, thanks for help!

SO many people replied. How powerful CC is!
