Where do I order inexpensive textbooks from, is there a place where I can rent them for free online?

Amazon, Chregg.com or buy them from other students. Those are the cheapest ones.

Also if you own a tablet (especially a Kindle Fire) look into eBooks which can be cheaper then a physical copy.

Other places to get ebooks free (without the explicit advertisement blitz):

bookos.org
en.bookfi.org

Science articles:
booksc.org

don’t think this post will survive for long but please c/p this incredibly useful list while you can

[Compare College Textbooks | Used Textbooks | SlugBooks](http://www.slugbooks.com)

I found that the cheapest copies of popular college books that are offered for sale on Amazon sell very quickly. If you are sure you are taking a class, try to buy early. You can search by ISBN number to make sure you are getting the right edition. Sign up for Amazon’s free trial of their student prime service to avoid shipping charges.

I have found many combined sites on cheapesttextbooks.com

Alibris is crazy cheap!
