Do you already know which textbooks you need? When I click "show textbooks" it tells me none have been assigned :/

You might not have any textbooks for your classes, but I doubt it.

Usually, when no textbooks are listed that means the teacher hasn’t notified the bookstore which textbooks they wish to use for their class. The teachers do have a due date on when they are supposed to report the information, but they often miss that deadline. I have found out what book I needed for a class as short as 5 days before class started before. It all varies on the teacher though.

You can sit and wait it out, or you can look up the teacher’s email address and ask them what textbook you’ll use

momomomo, could you tell us your schedule? Also, do you have your teacher(s) assigned? I am still waiting on two teachers for my classes, so obviously I don’t have any books for those courses assigned yet.

Does “see instructor” mean I should email to ask about books, or wait til the first day of class??

they all say “see instructor” until the teacher gives the book request to the bookstore. It means you can do whatever you wish.

Personally, if it’s not listed a week before class starts I email the teacher.

Yeah, teachers tend to be pretty lax about informing the bookstore quickly. There is no reason to be alarmed until it gets really close to class. A lot of times, they will change their minds about which books up to the start of class (not so much math or science classes, but English and social studies classes do).

One thing you could try is googling the class. This might take you to the class website, which might list the book you need.

nevermind.
