Has anyone bought textbooks on line, like Amazon? Is it cheaper? Does it make sense?

Definitely found cheaper books on line - but not always. DD uses a website - I think it is Getchabooks **** or something like that. It is well advertized at Tufts and compares the prices of required books for any given course at Amazon, the bookstore, B&N, rentals, etc. DD often bought used for distribution courses where she did not think she would want to keep the book, and bought new for courses in her likely major.

It definitely pays to compare, as Amazon and other e-vendors are often much less.
Engineering and science books, in particular, can be outrageously expensive, so the discount becomes even more meaningful in terms of dollars saved.
Just make absolutely sure you’re looking at the right editions of a given book and the right section of a given class (for classes with more than one).
