Textbooks

Well...I just logged on to the USF bookstore to check out the prices for my textbooks and they add up to just a few bucks under a grand. USF's COA says $1000 a year for textbooks, looks like I'm going to double that.

Anyways, was just wondering if it's alright to rent textbooks from places like Cheap Used Textbooks - Price Compare Used Textbook Sites or if anyone has the textbooks for the following classes that they would like to sell/rent to me for a semester:

Programming Concepts - COP 2510
Foundations of Engineering - EGN 3000
Prob & Stats for Engineers - EGN 3443
Engineering Calculus III - MAC 2283
General Physics II - PHY 2049
General Physics II Lab - PHY 2049
Arts/Humanities Honors - IDH 3100

Also, I see a lot of classes like the Calc 3 class that has “required packages” which is basically something like the textbook + custom module or textbook + access code. If I buy the textbook, can I get the other parts to the package at the bookstore?

There’s a facebook page dedicated to USF kids exchanging textbooks with each other. You’ll get a much better response there than over here. And they’d probably be able to answer these questions better as well.
