Textbooks

Hi,

Does anyone know if WashU takes part in the textbook racket of releasing a new version of each book every year to make money off of each student? If not, do they sell old books on campus somewhere that's significantly cheaper than new copies?

I'm looking for the books for Gen Chem, Gen Chem Lab, Physics (197, I think - I saw in another thread that it's the 'honors' version, but it's got a better teacher), Writing 1, Intro to BME, Biology, and Calculus 3 (and 2, if I didn't get a 5 on the AP or a 4 and do well on the placement exam).

Thanks!

I may have to fight you over those texts (freshman bme'r here too).

I'm fairly certain you can buy used books through the bookstore. Otherwise, try other online places (I had to buy books for high school) - I've saved hundreds using amazon, target, and b&n/borders. Half.com is also really good.

Introduction to Biomedical Engineering 2nd 0122386620 - eBay (item 170195909035 end time Jul-20-08 11:15:30 PDT)

23 bucks - intro to bme...the right edition

I'm guessing the "international" edition is a lot cheaper than the "US" edition? :D
