<p>Are we supposed to or do professors expect us to have all our textbooks first day of class or is it okay if it's a little late? I've ordered mine off Amazon and the expected delivery date is between 14th-31st of August :S There's no guarantee I'll have them when courses start....</p>
<p>textbooks dont matter for the first couple of classes. teachers might assign some reading and/or homework from textbooks during the first week but usually its not due the next class. and if you do need a textbook, someone in your dorm that’s taking the same class will probably let you borrow it.</p>
<p>You’ll be fine, you rarely need them on the first day of class. Also note that Amazon has a delivery center in MD, so a lot of things from them arrive very quickly. I’d expect them to arrive closer to the 14th than the 31st - you will also get a tracking number to see where they are, and to give you a better idea of when they will arrive.</p>
