yeah like three of my classes have the wrong instructor, so I should just go by my web registration?

yayaya, the latest edition of Stewart's book is the 5th edition.

cheers mate

hi ppl i just got back from the bookstore. yea i went early...it wasn't busy at all (around 10am in the morning) but im sure it'll pick up soon...
the sucky thing is that some of the books are not shelved...so they told me to come back in couple days...maybe i just should have waited...:P oh well, i got most of them for used...

I just got back from the book store too. Out of the 10 books I had to get, one wasnt shelved, but most were there. Too bad they only had new versions of most of my books...

sh0rtie- yeah, you can just check web registration to see which profs you actually signed up for.

The books will all be shelved by move-in day, and the next few days is when everyone gets theirs. Going as early as you guys did may be too early for some books, but it is true that you can snag the used books before they're all sold.

can somebody give the site for the books? thanks.

www.uscbookstore.com or you can go through USC's main website (scroll down to the bottom and click on Bookstore).

If you guys are getting the books from Amazon and want to help me out, try http://sizzly.com/store/ -- prices are the same.

How many books do you guys have (just curious)? My list has 23.

My list has 19.

11

also for my chemistry they want me to buy the student technology package, what is in that?

and for biology they want me to buy the book and the study card and tutor center (7E)

how do you I know online if I am buying what I need in the "packages" because at he online stores they tend to be kinda vague.

also what is a PRS transmitter?

11 books!?!? 23?!?!? WOW, I must be luckier than I thought; I only have to buy 4 required books and 1 optional!!!

For the biology people, I'm just curious to know what book you're all supposed to get? If it's Campbell's Biology, then I wish you all the very very best of luck!! sarcastic face

also what is a PRS transmitter?

This is a link my prof sent me about it: http://www.usc.edu/isd/locations/cst/tls/private/PRSstudenthandout.pdf

well 8 required and three optional.

i've heard that the PRS trasmitter isn't necessary?
and that a certain professor makes you buy it.
and the professor listed on my booklist isn't the one i signed up for.

Seems so, it's listed as required with my Materials Science class on my booklist, but no other class. But then I have the right prof listed, plus he also mentioned the requirement in his syllabus.

redski-who did you sign up for?
how did you find your teacher's syllabus?

..i have three books required so far...but half of my classes don't have books out yet...

if we buy them online, we can't sell them to the bookstore at the end, right? I don't really want to keep these books forever...

You're not supposed to sell them back, but a lot of people do anyways.

sh0rtie, I have MASC-110 with Goo (he's the only instructor for that class). I got an email from him last week with the syllabus.

ItsMeSunny, if the bookstore won't buy the books from you at the end of the semester, then I'm sure you'll find buyers on ebay!

wow i needed the PRS thing for BISC 120?!

Am I alone in having a long list of 23 (all required) books?

17 of them are for the same Instructor (Lemon) :)
Surely someone else here is enrolled in that course.
