I ordered my textbooks online but they may not arrive until next week. Classes begin tomorrow though. How big of a problem is this?

Have you gone to the bookstore to see if they are available - granted they may not have had time yet to pull the books but if they are available in the store I don’t see how it wouldn’t be too hard to go ask at online textbook pick-up and find out what options there are to get them quickly. Find that out first so you have a good reference point of when you will get them when you go to your first classes if you can’t get them ahead of time.

You should go ask someone at the bookstore. I’ve had many teachers who don’t decide on a book until the last minute and put in their request late and thus books come in late. If it’s their fault, there won’t be a big problem. Also, if the bookstore is late on getting them, then most of the class won’t have a book, so you’re not alone. However, I know some teachers only request a certain number, expecting most people to go online and get them. I suggest maybe Amazon-ing them at this point if you’re nervous; you’ll save a few bucks too.

To clarify, I ordered from half.com. Yeah it’s my fault that I ordered late and they won’t arrive until next weekend. What can I do in the meantime if my professors assign readings? Do libraries have textbooks? Does everyone have books the first week?

some people don’t buy their textbooks before classes start anyways…it’s not a big deal, just find someone in the class that you can borrow the book from if you have to.

Ahhh. Go buy them in the bookstore, use them until the others come in, and then return the bookstore ones I did it every semester second year through fourth

I was gonna suggest that lol
