Texts and Phone Calls from Admission Offices: Inviting or Intrusive?

Convinced that teenagers ignore email (and snail mail, too), a growing number of college marketing mavens are turning to text messages and even telephone calls to reach prospective students.

**How do YOU (students and parents) feel about this type of recruiting outreach?

Is there a difference between text and phone contact that is unsolicited versus that which comes from colleges you’ve already contacted yourself?

What advice would you give to the college folks about how to use text and phone contact effectively (and not annoyingly)?**

I think it is like romance…if requited, the communication is welcome. If it bc the PSAT have you the info, no thanks!
