This is exciting! After a nationwide and thorough search, Thacher’s Board went to one of its own! I was hoping this would be the decision! Blossom embodies the School’s ethos is so many ways: brilliant, curious, practical, warm-hearted, lover of the outdoors, dynamic, dedicated to the Thacher community past and present. Blossom has been the assistant head of school since 2016 and director of studies since 2013 at The Thacher School. Previously at Thacher she served as dean of faculty (2011-2013), English Department chair (2005-2011), and assistant director of admission (1997-1999). She has taught English at Thacher (2004-present) and at Viewpoint School in Calabasas (1999-2004). Blossom is a graduate of Thacher, CdeP 1992, and of Amherst College, BA cum laude in English and American Studies, 1996. She is a graduate of Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education with a major in teaching and learning, 1997.
