Thacher Students Probably Ran Away

One of my sister's children attends, a parent's worst nightmare:

Oh man!! One of my son’s really good friends attends. One’s from New York and the other from Alaska. All I can think is that between the two of them, they could probably handle quite a bit. Still… what’s the lag time before hugging them so tight they can’t breathe and wanting to choke them so they can’t breathe?? Hope they’re found soon.

This is pretty shocking. I hope they are ok. Any updates?

They’ve been found safe and sound. They were moving on their own steam.

They probably took 10 years off their parent’s lives!

then again you have to credit the school; what other institution would have kids that turned themSELVES in, fully aware of the cons leading to that? pretty damn good schools, i think

Glad they have been found safe and sound. Unfortunately this happens in both private and public schools. The kids are initially oblivious to the inconveniences and heartache caused and that’s putting it lightly. What I found equally disturbing were the generalities and misconceptions about boarding schools made in the discussions following the articles.
