<p>That's what I think too, Springfield, Mom. It can be just a sense of "This feels like it could be home." I know some parents think visits are somewhat worthless. We thought they were invaluable.</p>
<p>Some kids just don't care about atmosphere. I took my son to Caltech, Stanford and Berkeley. How different can you get? He pronounced them all, "fine". He really doesn't care much about his surroundings, he figures he'll find geeky kids wherever he goes, if the computer science department is sufficiently challenging he's prepared to be happy.</p>
