Haven’t posted here in like two years, now back here to say thank you to College Confidential and the Transfer Students community here, who helped me back when I was transferring to four year university from California community college, chancing me while I was waiting for my decision and answering other questions.
I wasn’t a great student at cc, I started wanting to do computer science, then moved on to bio then got interested in physics. My grades were all over, gpa when I applied to transfer was 2.6ish I believe, when I transferred I was like 3.0 I think, anyway the point being I wasn’t a stellar cc student.
I got accepted to UCSC and UCD, I chose UCSC as a marine bio major (that was the major I applied as). One quarter in I changed to mathematics. I did way better in UCSC than in my cc, I told my self I wasn’t gonna be the old cc me. My UCSC gpa is 3.77. (I dont wanna bore you with my motivation to change to mathematics, and how I started getting my grades up. If you have questions w.r.t feel free to inbox me)
I just graduated, with a B.A in Mathematics and minor in Physics. I just remembered spending time here going thru threads and being nervous and all haha, felt like writing this thank you post! I wish everyone here the best
