Does anyone have ideas for thank you gifts for teachers, references, coaches, etc who have helped our kids out during the audition process? We have a school teacher who has been an amazing support without receiving any financial benefit and I would really love to get her something more than a gift card.
Thanks.
We gave coffee gift cards at Christmas after recommendations were completed and then handed out some inexpensive t-shirts with my D’s chosen college logo in May to kind of announce her decision. Her HS staff has a college shirt day every Thursday, so they will get use out of it. You could also do logo hats if you know they wear them. I know one person that gave a teacher who extensively coached them an airline gift card so they could afford to come see them perform in the future.
My D got someone the “Bravo” mug from the Met Opera and they loved it (it was easy – we were there anywhere but you can order them). There are some music related mugs you may not find elsewhere. https://www.metoperashop.org/mugs-gifts

How kind of you! I know you said you didn’t want to get a gift card for the teacher, but teachers love them… I know, because I am one. Seriously. Not sure how much you want to spend, but spa-type gift cards are SO appreciated even if the dollar amount is small as it will get us in the door to take care of ourselves.
Also, I have a file in my desk with heart-felt letters from students and parents that I visit on particularly hard days. (Haha!) A thoughtful letter or card goes a very long way.
We did stainless steel travel beverage/coffee mugs with the school logo for everyone that helped us after he decided on a school - and gift cards for some as well.
