<p>I have received a couple of thank you notes and e-mails over the years from students I interviewed. I thought it was completely unnecessary and it felt forced and calculated. I don’t need or want someone’s strategic thank you note. A heartfelt warm smile and handshake at the end of the interview goes much further. I feel badly for Princeton now that they’ll have all of those notes to file.</p>
