Thank you notes after auditions?

<p>Is this necessary, helpful, or maybe annoying??<br>
We're accustomed to sending thank you notes after visits, interviews, lessons, etc so I was wondering if anyone sends them after their audition. </p>

<p>Two auditions so far and one was terrific, got great feedback. The other was rough, got nervous, made a few mistakes. So I don't know if the teacher would view a thank you note as a weak attempt to put a spin on the audition.</p>
