THANK YOU Thread!

bravo xelink. I would like to thank everyone on these boards for answering all my questions. I never thought I would ever get to where I am now. I can’t believe I got in everywhere. well…except davis. hahah what the hell happened there? anyway. I would also like to dedicate my acceptances to UCLA, UCB, and USC to my loving parents, for without their patience and support, none of this would be possible. I would also like to thank my wonderful girlfriend, for being there for me when I would loose sleep over college admissions anxiety and to be an ear when I needed to vent.

i love all of you…no i am not high.

I love messing around.
I think I should’ve been a bit more conceited in the post. ehh, hindsight is 20-20.

and I’m done celebrating I got into UCI two months ago, it’s old news now. I’m dedicating this time to working 30 hours a week, taking 16 units and helping out with my parent’s business on the side.

yeah brah u shouldve

will say that if I came here while in HS, I’d have ended up transferring in 1 year instead of 3.
ehh, life goes on…

Thanks all the ppl here who gave me helpful and encouraging advices~

Thank you for keeping me from having to visit the ■■■■■■ counselors at my school only once throughout these two years :D

THANK YOU for making this thread because I have almost exactly the same situation as you!! I graduated high school with a 3.2 basically, and applied to Berkeley too (LOL), all the other UC’s, etc. Of course, rejected everywhere except San Jose State.

Got my life together, went to De Anza (close to Foothill!), have a 3.7, got in everywhere except UCLA and Berkeley.
Now I’m deciding between Santa Clara University and UC Davis. And I have caught up with all my classmates and will graduate on time in 2012 hopefully! With $60,000 less debt.

Thank you CCers for posting advice! You guys have helped me tremendously as to how to plan out my two-year route and how to get classes, apply for colleges, etc. I couldn’t have gotten so far without you guys, even though I did lurk most of the time.

Thank you for the support. Misery loves company so waiting for decisions and accepting some rejections is definitely easier with the help of cc.

Will miss CC :(

bumps! it’s all over, you guys!

aw…it is over isn’t it…I actually doubt I’ll come back every night like I used to…:frowning: Oh well dudes, New adventures, new lives! In all honesty, Life couldn’t be better :)

It’s an exciting time for all of us no matter where we got in (or didn’t)! Congrats fellow CCers! See ya all again for grad school time!!!

Seeing all of you excited to transfer off to the UCs makes me feel happy and sad at the same. I won’t be joining you guys because of a change of major/career goals, even though I was offered admission to Davis, LA and Berk. In turn, I’m going to be stuck in community college for another 2 years. All of my friends and family think I’m insane but I know this will be the better decision in the long run.

The positives to this are that I’m saving money (living at home and cheap tuition yay), I’m guaranteed to get into my needed classes because of my high unit count/priority registration status, and also I know what to expect now from the application cycle.

Big shout outs to everyone on this board who helped one another out with advice and answered questions. I’m sure all of you will kick butt at your schools and do well in life. As for me, I will continue to be on this board for the next 2 years to help guide the 2011 and 2012’s generation of transfer students. Hopefully I can ace all my chemistry and biology pre-reqs to transfer into UCLA/Berk in 2012.

I’d like to thank Google. If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t have been able to filter out some of the insanely wrong information that is posted as fact on this board. You are an amazing search engine, and without you I would have actually believed most of the crap vintij was spewing.

hahahahah UChopful’s post ftw!! and it’s not over for everyone I’M STILL PENDING!! But i just wanted to say congratulations to all of you on getting accepted!! I am so happy for everyone. And A BIG thank you to all of my CC friends; There is NO way I would have survived this process with out having a bunch of other neurotic overachieving transfer students to freak out with. I miss it already haha

@ ixr, I don’t think you’re insane for doing so. Securing a job is hard nowadays and I’ll probably be back at CC doing a vocational program after I graduate anyway because jobs are hard to come by.

ixr, we all wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Yea, its been a fun year waiting on admissions; i know it wouldn’t have been as fun w/o this forum and all the fun we had on it, so thanks guys/gals! congrats to everyone who got in! you all deserve it!! Here i come aggie pack! :):D:):D:):D

Best of luck in your future endeavors
Lukem35

@shellbell, where are you still pending??

i’ve always been more of a lurker on this board. But I don’t know how I would have pulled through the stressful application period and the long wait without my fellow transfers here. It’s like…we were/are in this together, ya know? group hug!

freaking SB… I swear they are trying to give me a heat attack haha

is SB ur first choice??
