Thank you :)

With a favorable admissions decision yesterday (actually, two of them from a single school) and a family that's still in a bit of shock, as am I, I just wanted to thank the parents on this forum who have given me advice, posed difficult questions, or just commiserated about rough situations.

Hopefully the happy situations have already found your homes, or will do so shortly, and you all manage to keep a strong grip on reality during this stressful process. :)

Thanks again!

Snapple:

Congrats! The school must REALLY want you if it sent two admissions! :)

Well, it was an admission to the school and then to a specific program, so I counted it as two. No letter yet, so we'll have to see... ;)

Congratulations - which school? All the best!

Congrats!! :) my internet research suggests... Brown, and PLME (am I right?)

and more internet research tells me PLME = Program in Liberal Medical Education. (I hate acronyms!! LOL) Sounds fantastic! Congrats again! :)

YAY!!! Congratulations Snapple. I am very happy for you and your family. ;)

Congrats Snapple - I knew you would do it :) I know how excited you must be - enjoy!!!!!!

Snapple,

a double dose of Congratulaions and all best to you . We are so proud of all of our CC kids.

Now as Dr. Cangel would tell you, go have some ice cream

Ya Snapple!

Ha, I beat Cangel and her messengers to the advice (twice, of course!) :) The shock hasn't quite settled in yet, but I think the reality might become a bit more obvious once I actually open the envelope in a few days. Still, I was completely floored to read the acceptance, I wasn't expecting it AT ALL and things still seem a bit skewed from normal. The fact that so many of my friends got into their first-choice schools is definitely a bigger deal, and I'm so glad for all of them! :)

Thank you all again!

Thrilled for you! How lovely to see your dream come true. You seem like a delightful young woman and I wish you all the best.

I feel like my own kids got into college reading some of these posts from people I have seen post here for quite some time ;-)

PS...I have a daughter who is a freshman at Brown who is contstantly bubbling over with how much she loves the place! You are sure to have a great time as well.
