Thank you!

I just sent in my deposit, and it wasn't to Tulane. I'm going to Northwestern in fall. Regardless, I do want to thank everyone who has helped me through this whole Tulane application process. I really really loved Tulane, and it was in the lead by a long shot until I visited Northwestern and I fell in love with it. It's in no way a reflection of Tulane at all-just that I felt like a fit in a little better at Northwestern.

So thanks to those who answered my questions and convinced me that I really should consider Tulane as this great option, and I wish everyone who's going there a great year. (And warmer weather year than I'll have, for sure!)

Hey, we cannot win them all! Really sorry to lose you, definitely Northwestern’s gain. Did you figure in the cost of Eskimo clothing into your COA? LOL. Best of luck there.

I should have! Parkas and fur boots. In January I’ll wish I went to Tulane when it’s -30 with windchill and I’m on a lake. Alas.

Quote for truth. It was 80degrees today, a month ago, and in a month. Winter <3

Chicago is a beautiful and exciting city (won’t comment on Evanston) regardless of the weather. You will have a great time at a great university.

One very early winter morning I was standing on a Lake Michigan beach near NW with the temperature at about –15. The sun was coming up and “steam” was rising from the lake. It was as though I was on another planet, simply one of the most beautiful sites I have ever seen.
