Hey guys,
So i had my Cornell interview today, and I know I should send the guy a thank you note or email, but I don't know his email address. He hasn't left me any way to contact him.

But I googled his name and where he works and I found the address of his office. Is it totally stalker-ish and inappropriate to mail it to his office (cause he didn't give me the address) or does it show that I cares enough to thank him to search him up?

I would still do it. It can’t hurt you too bad for saying thank you after all right? I’m sure he’ll be more impressed that you followed up, rather than creeped out.

I am guessing you had an alum interview. I doubt Admissions would be able to easily track down the interviewer’s address. The list of interviewees is distributed to the local coordinator for an area (again, a volunteer) and the coordinator touches base with the alum interviewers to see how much time they have this season. Given Cornell’s decentralized decision-making (at the level of the seven colleges), I think you would be asking a lot. The interviewees are distributed geographically while the admission decisions are made at the college level.

I would send the note to the interviewer’s office address. As fog city said, a thank you is always appropriate.
