I tried to email my alumni interviewer after he contacted me, but for some reason my email keeps bouncing back. I called him a few days ago and scheduled an interview, but I realized that if I can’t email him there is no way to thank him after the interview. This is an interview at his office (he’s the president of his company) so I don’t have an address I could send a card or note to. I only have his office phone number, and calling someone you just had an in-person interview with would be odd in my opinion. As a common, expected courtesy, not thanking him after the interview (besides in-person) would leave a bad taste in my mouth. What should I do?

99.99 percent of the applicants I’ve interviewed over 25+ years did not send me a thank-you note. Don’t worry about it.

Although if you really, really want to send a note, send it to him in care of the company address. I’m sure it’ll get to him.

It would probably only seem really desperate. Just interview and thank them for their time when it ends.

Good Luck.

It’s a common courtesy.
My friend who is an alumni interviewer for Brown told me to be sure I send a thank-you email.

I wouldn’t fret his email isn’t working though. You don’t have his phone number? You could just leave a voicemail.
