Thanks for your feedback: What other colleges should I apply to?

hey guys, never posted my stats or anything before, but time is winding down and I have to start applying.
I live in Iowa but my family is moving to Wisconsin by the time I enroll in college next year. Some information:

4.0 gpa, rank 1 (valedictorian)
will have taken 6 APs.. hopefully will pass three of those exams... :/
ACT will be 30 or above, current is 26
pretty bad SATs.. I am taking SAT II math 2 and literature, 670-chem, pretty bad, i know.

strong extra-curriculars: speech/drama, athletics, heavily involved in student senate, and National Honor Society(volunteering)

strong teacher recs.

I am primarily looking for a STATE school, so I am applying to the University of Iowa and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. First, do you think I'll get in to WM ? second, I was thinking of applying to University of Minnesota-Twin Cities?

Because my life will be seperated between Iowa and Wisconsin, I want to avoid going to college outside Iowa, Wisconsin, or the Midwest.

I am probably not going to get in to elite schools, but idk. I'm good at essays. Looking for merit-aid, I haven't done any scholarship searches though.. at all.

ANY OTHER COLLEGE CHOICES YOU HAVE FOR ME?

Thanks for your feedback, guys.

U of Iowa: a true gem, and much underrated. Much smaller than other Big 10 schools (except private Northwestern). Iowa City is a great college town, and the on-campus vibe is very intellectual. Wisconsin is also a wonderful place, though colder and larger than Iowa.

You'll likely get into UW-Madison, and you have nothing to lose by applying to UMinnesota-TC as well.

Also, you might want to look at:

University of Illinois-UC
University of Michigan-AA

You should definitely apply to the University of Chicago, it is elite and as easier to get in as state schools.

^^^ W T F? No it's not...

UChicago is not easier to get into that most states schools, even if its acceptance rate is in the +40%.

I sent you a PM

thanks guys! anymore...?

Get a 30 on the ACT and UW is essentially a safety. Look into Michigan, you should get in there as well.

UWM is a great school. Right on the lake. Intellectual. Great people. Can't go wrong.

I know someone got accepted at U of Chicago and not at U of Illinois.

anectdotal.
