I had my advising meeting and I'm doing bio 101 instead of using AP credit, at least for the first semester.

The bio department and my student advisor had conflicting opinions, and I think I'll go with the bio department's stance and get a strong foundation in bio. Plus, there really aren't any courses I can take to advance my progress in BIONB. . .they're only open to sophomores.

My highschool AP class wasn't lab focused at all, so I think the labs will be a huge help. . .thanks for preventing me from doing something stupid. If it wasn't for your post, I think I would have gotten in over my head.

Ever consider being a bio advisor? lol.

You're taking biology? That's cool - I am too. I was thinking of taking 101, but I'm opting for the autotutorial class (105) instead. I took AP Bio in high school, and I mostly self-studied for that class; I think I work best that way.

It's okay to take autotutorial classes if you're doing pre-med, right?

Ah, I hope this is worth it. I signed up for 101. . . .but the only lab that would align with my scheduel during the week was full (by 10:00AM!!). So now I'm stuck with a saturday morning lab at 9:05. . . .ouch. . .guess I won't be up late on Friday nights, but I guess it lightens the week up though.

The Sat. bio lab was my first choice and I wouldn't have it any other way (please don't sabotage my experiments BTW...lol).

Hey, I would never sabotage your experiments. I'm much more likely to help you out than try to stop you from doing well.

As you can tell I'm a very blood thirsty person. . . .(rolls eyes)

I would like to be a bio advisor...if I weren't premed. Between doing research, joining useless premed clubs, and maintaining grades, there's not much time for anything else.

I'm glad things worked out for you. As I have said, labs are a lot of fun and you will see no more collaboration between students than in chem/bio labs.
