Thanks to all

Just a short note of thanks to all the wonderful contributors to CC. We have completed and submitted the last of S's 10 applications, and now we just relax and wait for results. This have been a 2.5 year process, and CC has been a valuable resource for us in our journey.

I must confess to a mix of emotions at this point. A bit of relief, but also a bit of a letdown.

Good luck to all the other applicants and families of applicants in the future Class of 2019!

Good luck to you and your S! My D is submitting her first app tonight.

Don’t worry. You’ll soon have many more forms to complete once the acceptances come in! I swear I spent the entire summer before freshman year filling out forms.

Wow. You got done early!

The last of our three kids has completed two of eight applications. We have a four day weekend coming up, and I would love, love, love it if she could finish up the rest this weekend.

Her last application will be the twenty-eighth my kids will have have collectively submitted. And while all I have done is drive them to visits, read over the applications for typos, answer questions, occasionally call admissions when the kids are in school and can’t do it, and hand over the credit card for payments, it feels as though It has all been MY job.

I can not wait for that last “submit” button to be hit!

My son submitted an application by midnight California time for a school there back when (2 hours behind us on a school night- arrgh). So hard to get him to do them- only applied 3 places (2 reaches and public flagship safety). He would NOT do other applications we suggested. Easy admit for the January instate app we got him to do- was a good fit. Thank goodness that is all ancient history.

Who would have thought parenting was as hard for near adults???
