Hey - Let's thank them both here. I know not all of us will get in but still. They devoted much time to answer our questions. I think the time before decisions would be harder to get by without them. Thanksssss!!!! You guys are the best :)

Thanks guys :)

btw, can you tell us how many students got accepted/waitlisted/rejected?

THank you so much for all y'all's (Kentucky!) hard work Ben and Barkowitz (moneyman!) You've done such a wonderful job and I thank you so much. For me, this is the worst time of the year... I just can't wait for TWO DAYS!!! lol

Those of you who are accepted may still need to contact our moneyman. I hope I'm one of them.

Ben pwned matt and posted about the mailing of decisions first. :P Stole his thunder.

Thank you Ben, Daniel & Matt for everything and congratulations on a job well done :)

thank you guys, you are the best, i do not know what more to say, but you guys represent MIT's culture.
and you guys' help are definitely helpful and heart-warming.

yep, thanks guys!

oh, and let me apologize now if you get shards of torn up paper in an envelope in a week or two. Its me sending back my rejection letter with love. :)

Thank you very much.

no matter what my decision is....i thank you very much for your kindness in helping to answer our questions and serving as caring friends to us!

ditto, smiliekat...you guys have just gone above and beyond in so many ways...

Thank u all for all the hard work and truly finally let applicants see admission officers as wonderful human beings not robots :)

thank you so much for all the help ben and barkowitz

Ben and Barkowitz for presidency 2008! :)

Only if Ben is the Veep :)

Seriously though, thanks to all of you for sharing yourselves, your neuroses, and your charm. I will long remember the class of 2009.

I remember when we started this process thinking about whether the blog would be read by anyone, whether the time we were spending on College Confidential would benefit anyone. It was an unknown. Would people really be interested in the rants of a 35-year-old financial aid guy? Would the applicant pool support all of these blogs? Wasn't this all a huge waste of time?

In fact, you all have made this what it is. Ben, Matt (if I can be so bold as to speak for them) and I have been blessed to witness this. But I don't feel that I, at least, have done anything that deserves your gratitude. If anything, you all deserve our thanks for sharing so much of yourselves. MIT (and the world) is truly lucky to have all of you as part of our applicant pool!

You will have much success in your lives. I am honored to have the chance to share this journey with you.

Way to go, Ben and Barkowitz! Thanks for all the effort spent in answering our questions=)

THANKS MATT!!!

THANKS DANIEL!!! (We will be in touch)

THANKS BEN!!

I'll add my thanks to B & B, too. It's pretty clear that MIT, or at least some people there, really get it when it comes to online communities and the changing nature of communications. Thanks, guys, I hope you get a break as things wind down.

well oiled like a bmw...

Ben Matt barko*W*itz

thanks =D

Ford = Fix Or Repair Daily

What is Ford backwards?

Driver Returns On Foot!

Thanks Ben, Barkowitz, Lorelle, Mitra, Matt, Jennifer, and ALL the MIT admissions/financial aid gurus. How odd to be able to think of your names and have persons immediately associated with them. Truly, I've tried to crack into Harvard. - nada. it's like a Brick wall. MIT is like an open door with ushers and red velvety carpet and information desks. Just fantastic.
