Thanks UMCP

Our S just finished his last final and graduates debt free from a school he has loved since his fall semester 2008. He leaves on Tuesday to meet up with his younger sister in Nepal. They will have five weeks together backpacking through SE asia, then he starts his job in Kathmandu and his sister begins her academic career at UMCP.

As an upper middle income parent, I am so thankful that our flagship StateU offers the wealth of academics/opportunities that can challenge top ranked students and be affordable to nearly everyone commited to a college education.

Maryland has truly changed over the last decade and offers a great education at a great price for residents. The university was especially generous to us offering both kids B/K scholaraships.

We live in a world where prestige is rapidly losing its grip on opportunity and a meritocracy is emerging. Spend you education dollars wisely and consider UMCP for a great education, incredible opportunities, and great fun. GO TERPS!

Awesome! Congratulations to your son and family. I believe I will be sending out a similar message in 4 years.

I couldn’t get an internship to save my life this summer, my sex life sucks, but ya know what? I love it here. Wouldn’t trade my experiences for the world. Back in high school I didn’t think I’d be going here, but three years since graduating HS it turns out I’m here and I love it. Glad your son got the best this school had to offer.

Go TERPS!! :D

 Fear the Turtle

Awesome!!!
