Thanksgiving break

Do many students stay on campus for Thanksgiving? We live on the west coast and flying home for just a few days during the holidays is pretty expensive.

I think it's pretty empty according to my friends from the west coast that stayed. However, there's a good chance one of your friends could invite you to thanksgiving at their house if they live pretty close by. I flew home for thanksgiving and made it a bit longer of a break since I'm also from the west coast. One of my tuesday classes was cancelled and I didn't have much class monday or tuesday, so I left friday after class. We're lucky because most other universities seem to have class on wednesday, but we don't.

Lots of international students will stay on campus. A good chance to get to know people from other cultures :D

Ive always stayed for Thanksgiving. Sometimes people cook their own dinners.

If you are around for Thanksgiving, see whoall else is and take the chance to experience Duke and Durham with fewer people around and no classes to worry about. Also, on East, there are several kitchens available should you and a group actually want to cook something.
