For Thanksgiving weekend, do we stay on compus or have to fly home?

You don’t have to go home, but a lot of people do.

^Revising that, probably 98% of people go home. You’ll be VERY lonely and likely the only one in your suite if you stay

^Ha ha. I guess I didn’t notice how many people went home because I went home.

I was just about to ask the same question. I thought since Thanksgiving break was just a week (or so) from finals that people might stick around to study. Dumb me :).

^Well, I mean there are SOME people that stick around.

i live about 10 hours away from ucsd. do a lot of people who live that far away fly home as well?

I’m from out of state, and pretty much everyone except international students went home (even international students found a friend to go home with)

I live 10 hours away too and honestly, I didn’t really want to go home since I would be home in the couple weeks for winter break anyway, but my mom made me. But I guess yeah, people who live far away fly home.

I think you’re exaggerating just a little bit because I knew quite a few people who stayed and I didn’t really know that many people at that point. :)

the other thing is that if you’re a freshman without a working kitchen, they usually shut down the dining halls early and don’t open until Sunday afternoon… motivation to go home…
